Clayton Truman...Owner of a CanDig mini excavator...
"After using this for a while, I have billed $1000.00 and only used $5
dollars in gas. That is right. You see, one does not run the machine all
the time while on a job site. Now, the other thing that I see these
machines having over a small excavator besides not having a trailer, is
of course cost- $6000.00 for a new one! Holy crap! On a small excavator,
a diesel engine to repair is around, oh, $4000.00 as an estimate, a
track *$800 and they typically have three pumps. THe bottom line is, for
me, less cost, less maintenance, less fuel, BUT I bill the same amount as
a small excavator for $25000. New cost! ...(250-490-0128) Summerland, BC

Scott Cherny...renter of a CanDig mini excavator...
"Recently we moved to the Shuswap Area. In order to winterize our new
home we needed to do some excavating. Having a handyman in the family we
decided to dig ourselves to save some money. CanDig offers machine
rental only or machine and operator rentals. This offer is very
convenient for the machanically inclined individual. We found CanDig was
easy to transport and set up with the bonus of reasonable pricing.
CanDig is small yet powerful and easy to manuever. It was perfect for
the digging required. We have already recommended the Mini Digger to our
neighbors and will continue to recommend this handy unit. Thank you for
having CanDig available for rental to the public."...The Cherney's...(250-679-7883)

"Went to Norfolk and met David Ferrey and wife. Very nice gentlemen and
sweet Mrs. Ferrey too. We managed to play around on the CD21 and dig
some holes which partly destroyed David's backyard. We were like 2
little boys in the sandbox. The CD21 features amazing power for it's
size! (gpommer@yahoo.com) "
Shaun Martin...renter of a CanDig mini
excavator.(Vancouver)
I rented a CanDig unit to excavate about a foot of ground out of my
existing basement in downtown Vancouver. I am certainly impressed at how
the people from CanDig delivered the unit, then helped to crawl it into
my basement with ease. I highly recommend using one of their diggers
when digging in tight spots!(shaunmartin@shaw.ca)"
Paul Baxter...Teck Cominco Mine (Management)
"We flew one of their mini excavators out into the mountains using a
Long Ranger helicopter near Smithers for about 2 1/2 months last summer.
We were able to get some significant digging done around our camp area
that otherwise would have been very difficult and time-consuming to do
by hand in this remote setting."
Stephan Ermair...(helicopter pilot
for Pacific Western Helicopters Ltd.)...
"The CanDig mini excavator has a built-in tripod towing system that
makes it easy and safe to haul. The unit was very stable to tow because
of this feature."
James Smith...(Future Owner of a
CD21)...
"It seems to me that your two buckets and thumb are very essential items
and ones that would be difficult for the owner/operator to add on. It
makes sense to me to buy a better machine up front with the
characteristics needed rather than try to "get by" with something that
is cheaper or flimsier and try to add features later. I would rather
invest in something that is flexible enough to handle future
work...(Phone 253-931-6442)"
